I found this a new item from Moss for the PT, but not for a Turbo. This is exactly what I am looking for my Turbo. Anybody know where I can get it??? Thanx See Attached Photo, it is a chrome cover for the muffler part that shows out the back, not the pipe, but the actual muffler

I saw that, too. PT Boutique has also added that item to their site. I want it for my 04 GT, but didn't realize there would be a difference. Thanks for bringing up the subject. Very Happy

all you need to worry about is tip diameter... you could just open the hole up a bit more and it'll fit.

The one at Moss Motors specifies non-turbo models only

I have an '02 exhaust and an '05 turbo lite exhaust sitting in my garage... If I remember, I'll go measure. Sure look the same.

why does the bottom look like a gt exhaust and the top look like an N/A? or is it me. i have had both (exhaust) and the bottom looks like a GT tip.

Look closer at the back-up lights. See how much bigger the bottom one looks? The camera is closer.

I think the hole in this piece of tin is too small to fit over the extra stainless on the GT pipe. It's just for the N/A's because there are so many more of those than the GT's and the GT's are also more likely to go with dual tips.

I personally don't care for the "muffler hanging in your face"/"milk pail" look and the chrome just makes it worse for me. I'm a "black it out" kind of guy. Actually I have a pair of straight-through, bullet style mufflers that will be going on soon.

Another solution: get hi-temp flat black spray paint, mask off the pipe and paint the backside of the muffler. It literally disappears!!!!

I just checked pt boutique and theirs is for both. It comes with the non turbo hole punched out and has a knock out for the GT sized tip pre cut. Go to their sight and look.

Barbeque paint also works for the blackout.

+1

A friend of mine, who is a mechanic that works on HP cars, says all he uses is barbeque paint. He says it sticks better and lasts way longer than any other high temp paint designed for headers, exhaust, etc.
