So I was on my way home from work and got side swiped by a GMC Terrain, the driver refused to stop, so I followed her long enough to get her plate # and reported to the local Police; figuring I would be letting my insurance pay for the damage.

Although very minor, it looked like the front bumper cover would need a new paint job; and Mazda crystal white pearl ain't cheap! Shocked

So after I got home, I figured I would see how much I could clean it up, started with some Surf City Beyond Clay and that really removed a lot. There were some very slight ghost looking brown swirls that did not appear like they were coming off.

So I hit Pepboys and found a bottle of Meguiars Diamond Cut Compound #85 Polish and it really worked well with a wool bonnet. There is no sign of any damage. Very Happy

Had 30k checkup on the car today and all is well; tomorrow I'll polish it again, and then seal it with NXT.

No repaint needed! Thanks Meguiars!

Dont really care what happens now, I'm good to go with no insurance claim. Police took a report, gave me the case number, had me fill out a one page form, and thats it. At most I would support her being ticketed for failing to stop to exchange info. I was lucky to be able to fix my car, not sure about any damage she caused to her own vehicle.

You got lucky. We have the same pearl paint on my wife's CX5. It sure looks great in the sun, and you're right, it ain't cheap.

How dare you question the way of the Apple?!?!?! Apple knows what's best, and you WILL OBEY.

Or be like me, ditch all the iShit and go Android!! I can do so much more with my Android phone than I could with my iPad, so now the iPad is gone and I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet. The iPad may, in some ways, be the better toy, but for business and work related stuff, especially what I do, the Android platform just blows it out of the water.
