I am picking up a pair of seats for the Mazda this weekend. They are leather and alcantara.

They are in excellent shape, but I will go over the leather with Meguiars cleaner and conditioner, but what about the alcantara? I know to use a soft brush on it, but is there anything that really cleans/protects it?

Here are what the seats look like:

According to the folks who make the stuff your best bet is just plain water, distilled preferably, along with that soft brush. My Plainum Series PT has suede inserts (not genuine alcantara but very similar ) and that's all I've ever used.

Thanks MiO,
My PT seats had the suede inserts too, and they seemed to stay clean for the time I had them in the car. I wondered what Chrysler used also.

I will keep the Mazda seats clean. Appears there is nothing special that they need.

OK, just a quick follow up for anyone who comes across this post in a search. I know some PTs have suede inserts too.

So after all my reading I ended up with Meguiars leather cleaner followed by Surf City Voodoo leather cleaner/conditioner for the leather and picked up a soft shoe brush at walmart for the Alcantara inserts.

The brush actually brought out all the dust in the Alcantara and a good vacuum job made the seats look great. The conditioner makes the interior of the car smell new too.

Here they are after an initial wipe down.... with the matching rear seats.
